As F1’s return for 2020 is approaching I have compiled a list of the first 5 Grand Prix’s of the year.
Australian Grand Prix
Starting off the season F1 is returning for the year in Melbourne Australia from the 13-15th of march. The stakes are high as last year we saw Valtteri Bottas taking the win after he overtook Lewis Hamilton.
Bahrain Grand Prix
Following up very shortly after the F1 travels to Sakhir, Bahrain in the Middle East from the 20-22nd of march. Last year in Bahrain Lewis Hamilton secured first with his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas taking second and Charles Leclerc took third with Ferrari.
Vietnam Grand Prix
The Hanoi Street Circuit is making its debut this year with F1 from the 3-5th of April. The track is a street circuit which means it will include sections from public roads such as Lê Quang Đạo street. The length of the track 3.484 miles long and it features 23 turns.
Chinese Grand Prix
The fourth grand prix of 2020 will take place in Shanghai, China from the 17-19th of April. Last year saw Lewis Hamilton take first place in the Chinese grand prix after he overtook his teammate Bottas, who started in pole position off the line.
Netherlands Grand Prix
Finishing off our list of the first five grand prix of 2020 is the Dutch grand prix at Zandvoort from the 1-3rd of May. Zandvoort is a track full of history and hasn’t hosted grand prix since 1985 so there is a lot of hype for its return to F1 after 35 years.
